To open a business account, you will need to have a US based business entity established in one of the fifty US states. Foreign Companies can start a business in the United States, and there are no citizenship or residency requirements for doing so. To open a business bank account, you will need:
- IRS issued EIN Employer Identification Number, also known as Tax ID in the United States.
- Information about your business. Intended business activities in the United States.
- Information about the owners of your business.
- A List of all entities or individuals that own your US based business.
- The main bank contact who will be responsible for all banking activities. Also known as the banking administrator.
- A physical U.S. address, if you do not have that we will provide you with an address for a fee.
- A mailbox address (If different from the US Physical address). We will assign a mailbox address to retrieve all statements and communication with the bank and the government.
- *Signed, stamped Power of attorney documents in English before a Legal Notary public in your country. The documents will explicitly authorize a GES representative to open a bank account on behalf of the US established business.
